Stumpy Gully Cellar Door is open from 11:00am until 5:00pm on weekends.
Stumpy Gully Vineyard is situated on the Mornington Peninsula, one hour south of Melbourne nestled between Victoria’s two most famous bays ‘Port Phillip’ and ‘Westernport’ in the Moorooduc Wine Touring Region.
Officially zoned as ‘Cool Climate’ and famous for its Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio, the Peninsula’s geographic location and maritime climate, particularly in the Moorooduc area, produce excellent Merlot, Cabernet and Shiraz as well as delivering some of the country’s finest Sauvignon Blanc.
Amidst the Tuscan colours of the tasting room overlooking the vineyard, you can sample a stable of impressive wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Vibrantly coloured wine labels and paint work, like a Mt. Martha Boat shed, with a green sea of vines, draw together the maritime with the viticultural: a clever reminder of what makes the Peninsula special.
Family-run Stumpy Gully Vineyard is one of those rare wineries where visitors meet winemakers or grape growers doubling as cellar door staff.
